Ogee moulding is also known as "cyma recta". This profile is always concave above and convex below. The shape of this profile makes creates a visually pleasing transition from one surface to another, be it a wall and ceiling, or a wall and projecting shelf. This quality makes ogee moulding a popular choice for crown applications. This basic moulding can be used to compliment other mouldings, or to detail a variety of right angles, whether you are enriching a ceiling, cabinet, or piece of furniture. Ogee moulding offers the character of wood millwork or plasterwork, but it is in fact precision-molded in rigid, high-density urethane, a non-porous and pre-primed material.
